Those who know me should know I'm not one to gloat/boast....but I was pretty stoked to see my old ragtop (currently for sale by the way in the buying/selling cars section) in Fast Fours magazine.
The photo shoot was well over a year ago so it was cool to see it in print finally......if you're interested, check out the current issue (May)....pg 104.

Thanks Adam......"used to have" though - sold it a while back, and now for sale again by Damo in Noosa.
It is a steal for $20K - sounds like a lot of money but good luck building one of this calibre for that!

Its a very fitting tribute to a great car. In the past there have been letters to editor complaining about too many VWs appearing in FF&Rs, I wonder if there will be any about your car.

Letters to the editor about too many VW's??? I'm almost willing to send a letter to the editor about too many Jap Taxi's(Skyline's) in that mag. every second page there's one with the same stuff done to it as the previous car.
At least owning a VW shows some sort of individuality....

Excellent job on the car pitty the original owners never got to see it, if you could only emagine their face never in this world would they have expected it to look like it did.
It's a credit to you for trying to find them and to the amount of work you put into the car i followed the build up on here and was amazed good luck with the new project.

Sweet, I wonder how long it will take for Reub to get published, given the time it took you. Flat Four is slack as when it comes to publishing anthing VW.

Bone Collector - it was well over a year before my car saw print. Admittedly the editor did explain they have about 12months backlog of feature cars at any given time, so it was a matter of waiting my turn. But also you are right, I don't think they want a vw in every single issue which makes it harder to get in there!
