Adjustable spring plates - Swing Axle $400

Brand new never used. Suit early model swing axle I am lead to believe. See pic for length.

Roughly 50cm long. Axle tube length 15cm. Short axle I think. Was told they fit oval and early pre 66 bugs.

Your welcome to come and look.

Pick up preferred though can mail at buyer cost. Ship from post code 2765. They weigh approx 4kg each. Go to www.austpost.com.au to work out shipping options.

If I get no sale here they will be one ebay.

Cheers people

could ya put them on upside down so they raise instead of lower

Hertz ·

They are to suit oval. And no you cant flip em.

What he said. LOL.

I have no idea if you can flip them really. I had a quick look, even swapping the parts and it would appear not. Not without a safety compromise, as nothing lines up.

Sorry

From Oval up until when?
Thanks!

No idea what year they fit up until. But all the measurements are there. Just measure what you have and compare. From what I understand they fit short axles as on early beetle including oval. Should fit past oval i believe as long as you have short axle. There are some long axles swing axles. In saying that you should measure anyway as many late model swing axles get changed to short axle as you can run a wider wheel and they are far stronger, or so I am told.

interested in these to fit up to my 59 rag i'm just trying to work out how i would get these home at the moment. I might be doing a trip to sydney very shortly to pick up a few things.

How much adjustment do they have ie; inches lower and so forth. Also did you buy them new or get the originals modified?

type_one ·

Not sure how much adjustment it would be in total but I'd be pretty safe to say it would be more than you could ever need. You can always place it in position low then adjust it lower. Or put it ridiculously high and adjust it down. I would imagine it could go as low as the ground if you set it up right. Not that i am recommending that.

They were purchased as brand new, unmodified.
