Wanted: Roof rack to suit \'56 beetle

I'm looking for a roof rack to suit a '56 beetle.
I'd prefer it to be ratty- not in as new condition.

can anyone give me a lead on some old peice that may be laying in someones backyard?

I also have a '54. was there a roofrack that came out for specific models?
I only want to put year correct bits on them.

i used to use it on my 56 Oval fortrips when we had a lot of luggage

it fits real nice will take some pics

yep theres a version that sits in the gutter channel but these were from Overseas we mainly had the suction cap style in Aussie.

you can purchase this style from Vintage at Campsie 02-9789-1777 there all Stainless and really nice with wodden slats

Lots of different cars had the suction cap style
