cool......what happened was my carby caught on fire due to lack of driving.....believe or not...bad fuel leftover. I burn a bit of the inner venturies....need it for my dellorto 48s. So looking for alternatives, or parts!
62ragtop ·
what is a tri jet? ANyone have a picture?
59BUG ·
Taken from aircooled.net
Most IDAs only have 2 progression holes in them, which makes them more "off/on" in operation. Late IDA's had the third hole when new.
thanks man.....Maybe should update my carby too....hehe
just realize what i need is actually called the auxiliary venturie. Anyone has any or know who might have it?
Someone expert was telling me that that tri jet for dellorto is the third brass jets instead of two all up.

May I suggest using Vee Dub Parts Unlimited instead... lots of people in OZ have had issues getting their parts from that other supplier...
I have used him before here in the US, and picked up from there, but people overseas seem to get messed around with their parts.
Parts Unlimited have all the stuff in stock, know exactly what they are selling you, and best of all will ship USPS to Australia instead of UPS.
I know people will say support the local shops.... but you can land them for approx $1300au, thats half of what was quoted at $2600au...big difference!

try emailing the ebay guy in the link i posted above, even if it is not listed in his shop, his knowledge and communication is very good, he will most likely have some.
i have dealt with him before, postage cheap and quick too.

Ive had about 10 orders and the only one i had trouble with is the last one,i think all the shops are running behind CB is running behind too,Serranos are great, you only have to ring him once after that your card is on file then its just an email with your order and wait a week or two.:kiss

Thanks for the great info guys, i think serrano is great as well and so is a CB as they are qucik and so far havent missed a bit. The only one thing is seranno forgot to mail me some parts but it was sorted straight away and next thing i know, its on my door step.
I would really like to support locals but sometimes local's price are just so much higher then local......sorry to say so guys.
Since we are on the topic, i had one bad experience with express air freight delivery. When my goods landed in Australia, a company called me up and say that there are some charges for my goods. It ended like AUD$400 more!! I was not informed by the seller on the US side. Does that sound right? Express air delivery, not nomal air freight. On top of that i was informed that AQIS decided to check my goods and more charges occur?!!! Does that sound right?? If AQIS wants to check, i have nothing to hide so go for it but with my expenses?
PLUS!!!! AQIS inspection fee!!! and on top of that!!!!!! AQIS inspection facility Fee!!!!!!!
Anyone in this industry can explain to me what the FXXK is all that??? If its right then we are all in the wrong business!!! Highway robbery man!!! I am still in dispute with them....any info will be great!
Sorry guys, dont mean to nag but i guess i got a bit excited there.....But i have learn my lesson, be patient...wait for a week...dont ask for next day delivery.....
It is never the US seller's responsibility to quote or inform you of Australian import duties and or taxes.
I have dealt with Steve at Serrano's alot... both here in the US and back at home in Australia...
A lot of people have good experiences with him, but a LOT overseas have had differentd... mainly waiting................ in OZ
Ultimately its your decision, but in m opinion, the knowledge and experience from VDP Ult'd is hard to beat... from someone that will ship postage costs to OZ.
I know at least half a dozen people in OZ with issues getting stuff out of a CA company, one customer especially who I helped personally after a LONG battle..
Now they have their product thanks to a company that will ship the same way...
62ragtop ·
they are not import duties or taxes.......read again....and i am not blaming Steve Seranno, i have had great experience so far ordering from overseas other than this case. DONT EXPRESS POST ANYTHING UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY BIG BUCKS!

That sounds about right, they make it up as they go.
No one can inform you of these charges at the US end.
What people don't realise is that when you buy a product from a local shop, you don't just get the product, you get years of experience and help. Without the support of people locally these shops will dry up and not have stock or even not exist in the future. Then the VW scene will go back to what it was in the eighties with everything just being to hard.
62ragtop ·
boostn.....u make me feel ashame...........i certainly dont want the local support to go.........
xornge666x ·
back in the eighties was before the internet and easy access to parts all over the world... that we ALL take advantage of now.
express is usually carried by an international courier company, probably why you got slugged with all sorts of charges.
USPS is the best bet for price, never had customs charges from them.
Both FedEx and UPS calculate their own charges as they have their own departments to do that.
