Hi

Some local Kombis in 76 had L Jetronic EFI, worked great. Good luck finding a airflow meter.

yeah try looking at Volvo, Holden, Ford XE-XF, BMW etc for a possible match. There are different size airflow meters for different size engines - HTH

Thanks for the ideas!
Will check out bosch web site maybe can match part no's with some other make.
The sliding resistor is not working I will pull it apart and see if I can get it to resist 🙂
cheers and thanks again

That is a common problem with some 'vane' type air flow meters, and throttle angle sensors on things like EA Falcons. Try cleaning it...

I have a working one for a beetle with fuel injection. I think it was from a 75-76.

The part number is 0 280 200 006. It has 6 pins (I think some had 7)

I am not 100% sure that it is compatible. It is a funny business with the FI systems because a lot of the parts are interchangable. For instance this AFM works fine in my bug which is a 78.

This site may help (or confuse you):

I am in Melbourne but my parents are flying to Brisbane tomorrow evening so be quick to exclude shipping costs!

Thanks for the offer. Mine is a 7 pin so don't know if it is compatable. As soon as I can get a spare half hour I will pull it off and and see if I can repair it.
Thanks for the link also.
cheers Matthew
