More likely 22nd June as it was this day in 1934 that Ferdinand signed the contract with Adolph that started the development & design ball rolling.

Which is why 22nd June has been declared World Wide Day Of The Beetle (or drive your beetle to work day).

err maybe, but the model year starts in august yeah?

I'll have a beer or two at lunch out of respect anyway. It being for horses or volkswagens is mostly irrelevant 🙂

Aren't horses birthdays all on the 1st Jan?

in the northern hemishphere yes, down here its august 1. Something to do with the spring carnivals. I think they all have to go up a year before then. But I'm not sure.
