is there a step by step guide on the web to fit these babies?

VWMA Editor ·

They are fitted the same as new stock spindles. Your will need a new link pin kit and spacers. Refer to a VW manual for the steps involved.

i think they do it without a press.

I have always used a press to do them, but I guess you can get the job done the way they do it if you dont have a press.
Definately best to get new kingpin kit at least, and do the link pins at the same time if they have any wear.

You do need an expandable tapered reamer, and a pilot for it to make sure its reaming straight.

i replaced the king pins 3 thousand miles ago so they should be right then?

xornge666x ·

yeh they should be fine...
if you did them, you fit the drop spindles the same way as you rebuilt them then..., only changing from stock to lowered spindle.
