Today is not a good day for me....
I lost my best friend today...my cat Neo.
After over 10yrs of beautiful friendship he was taken from me this morning by a brown snake....
I have cried so much today I could wash all of the tourists in Byron with my tears
He was my best friend..& I loved him so much....
& with his nature & personality he was the most closest thing to a human being I have ever come across....

Sorry to hear mate our condolances go out to you , as we went through much the same 2 years ago when we lost our beloved Zack the Rotweiler of 10 years to Cancer Tumas.
We had Zack cremated and he lives with us every day in a shrine area in our living room which is alittle weird to some but i suppose its just our way of leting him live on with us .

Thats not good ,i know how you feel ,we lost one of our dogs last friday ,he was about 12yrs old,so i feel your pain馃檨

I feel for you Judy its so sad to loose a close mate. I lost a few of our for legged children as we call them over the last two years. I balded for days. I actually started to cry when I saw your cute pic. I also have a little shrine in my lounge room as I had them cremated as well with a little pic of them. Take care have a hug from me.

Thanks for all the comments guys...the house here isn't the same anymore...for such a little furry guy he had a loud personality & presence so its very quite here tonight 馃檨 have received heaps of texts & phone calls today as word as spread about him....He wasn't "just a cat" this cat was just like a person & was treated here like that too....so thanks to all for the beautiful words & wishes......J x.

馃槩 my sympathies judy, I lost a couple of buddies in the past 2 yrs too.... they are people, with personalities and feelings,, not 'just a cat or dog'.
LIFE IN THE LOW LANE 路
My dad had to put his beloved cat down about 2 weeks ago. This cat was 21 human years old!!!! My parents got him when i was in high school so he was well and truelly part of the family and part of their house. His last couple of months started to become a bit of a worry as his back legs weren't working too well and you could see he was struggling. This was a cat that prolly used up at least half his 9 lives but lived them to the fullest. My Dad told me when they gave him the injection they had to inject him with the whole vial and he wouldn't pass away!!! It took 3 and a half minutes before his heart stopped compared to when they had to put their dog down that passed away within 15 seconds.
One bloody tough cat and to live so long is a testament to just how well he dominated my parents street and neighbourhood bailing up every other cat and some dogs!!!
And yes he was a VW lover. Whenever I came home(when I lived there) I'd park my Kombi and in winter he'd park himself right under the back under the crankcase as it was nice and warm(plus my crankcase is only about 8 inches off the ground).

Ive had cats nearly all my life the first for 16 years, the 2nd for 5 years, the 3rd for 21 years the 4th for 8months, and now this monkey for about 7 years so far
you really do become attached to them and they become part of you i miss my 21 year old she followed me everywhere and watched me working on my cars keep your chin up XX

Am waiting for the day that my dad says that the third family cat (Zoe) passes on.
The first one was my brothers and she was 20, mine made it to 18, and Zoe's almost 18.
They know how you feel about them.
May take a while, but as you know it does get easier.

I feel your pain, as alot of the posts above, I too lost a beloved pet this year, my dear old dog Satchmo was 15years old (older than my kids!).
