Can Anyone give me any information with regards to the removal of a geneberg shifter? It is a lockable key version and i have tried every which way to try and remove it out of a customers car. I would rather not break it as they are worth over $350, Any info would be appreciated

From memory there is a cap screw, that you shear off on installation, in the base.
I think it faces the front of the car...or does it face rear.
Anyhow, you will most likely have to drill it out.
If it is tough, use a concrete drill(tungsten tip) and sharpen it up for cutting metal.

use a cobalt drill and start small then go to the bigger size, use a slower speed with plenty of lube, tungsten tip drills will usually just smash to peices or the tips will fall off with the heat as they are only brazed on👍

there is a grub screw in the front and back, unlock the unit and then remove them both and the top will lift off. Don't cut, drill or grind anything ......
