Well it's good to see Ovals finally being appreciated as a "fine" car, and some decent money being exchanged for them. I could never understand the huge price difference between the early beetles and the split window Kombi's. As far as rariety is concerned most shows I go to Ovals are out numbered by splittys, usually two to one.

Nah dont think that was the one on ebay. Pretty sure that one didnt have the radio I looked into it at one stage could be wrong though. Makes mine look like a bargain but.

It seems they are increasing in value quite remarkably, I have only had mine for 4 1/2 years and it has doubled in value already. looks like I got in at the right time.

I definately remember it for sale with picture of interior with that radio somewhere but it was a lot of money & I dont think it sold
