Hi, I'm making up a "Kafer Cup" style of brace to stop axle tramp which will be soon available for sale.
The kit will use custom made clevis joints, high quality aluminium for the bars and will be a bolt in kit. This kit will be of a much higher quality than other 'cheaper' style kits, that don't always provide the right end result.

Maybe you should go back and read the first post AGAIN...
I'm sure that most people that are seriously interested in installing a Kafer style bar would have already researched what they sell for OS as well as locally, and would therefore have a rough idea as to what they are worth.
Most people would probably also realise that for me to duplicate this setup it wouldn't cost double nor would it cost half that of other kits available...........................so as a guide range expect to pay from $280 to $480
.......as for the cost of 1916's, ring Stan Pobjoy he's built over 2500 of them 馃槀
unfortunately due to the rain today I was unable to drive the bug to the workshop to start work on the kits 馃槩.........................this means it will be at least another week before I can do the costings (need to fabricate mine first to establish cost) BUMMER 馃ゲ

Nearly done !
Worked on it yesterday. Clevis joints are machined up,gearbox cradle cut out and bent up, mounting points on the shocks designed..........just need to fabricate them !!
Aluminium hex bar has been impossible to source 馃槧..
Will be done by this week !!!!

getting the mounting position right !.......clevis joints just screwed in without the lock nuts fitted........shock mount is also ready for the 5 bar setup.

Price: $398 for the 3 bar kit...........$560 for the 5 bar kit.
3 Bar Kits will include: 6 custom clevis joints (3 LH and 3 RH Thread), 2 shock mount brackets, 2 laser cut weld on brackets for the horns, 1 long and 2 short Aluminium brace rods. All nuts, high tensile bolts and washes needed as well as all components plated and anodised.
5 Bar Kits will include: 10 custom clevis joints (5 LH and 5 RH Thread), 2 shock mount brackets, 4 laser cut "weld on" brackets, 1 long and 4 short Aluminium brace rods.All nuts, high tensile bolts and washes needed as well as all components plated and anodised.
The Heavy Duty cradle will also be available in solid mount or for rubber mounts for extra $$.............I still need to work out costings, but should be under $100.
I will photograph the kit when it returns from the platers.

Al, on the kit in the photo there is a tab welded to the back of the cradle (you can just see the heat sink).
The Kits have a laser cut bracket that needs to be welded to the forks (near the base of the cradle). The best option is to buy the modified cradle as per the photo (supplied by me), this makes the 3 bar kit a 'bolt in' version.

They are most useful in drag race type start or in off road where you would get wheelspin, they stop the chassis forks from flexing up & down when power is applied. Much nicer than a tramp bar

Craig, the bars look great. One question/suggestion though...have you considered whether there should be some flats machined into the end of the aluminium bars to allow a spanner to be used to hold them when tightening the locking nuts? I suppose they wouldn't move too much if you had the locking nut at the opposite end on and snug up to the end of the bar...perhaps for version 2?

The bars don't need the flats as holding it by hand enables the nut to be tightened.....as well as what you mentioned re the nut on the opposite end
To give the bar "pre tension" is also easy by hand, in fact the shock towers can be pulled in by more than 5mm a side by doing it this way !
If I put flats on it then people will potentially over tighten and then strip threads !
