went to the hospital on sunday arvo with groin pain. left yesterday minus one appendix.
apparently it was really early so there wasnt any discharge or anything, apparently surgery only took 15mins after they knocked me out,
they did keyhole so ive got 3 small incisions.
but damn how annoying is this.
i cant do anything! i can barely walk around ive been holding in a cough for about 2 hours because coughing is immmensely painful and ive got an itchy throat.
at least they dont do that one big incision anymore unless it bursts.
anyone else appendix free?

yep.. am a member of that club.. had mine out late last year... similar thing.. felt crook in the guts after a friday night out for tea.. thought it was just something i ate.. sat morning still feeling shit.. pain started to localise on one side.. went to gp.. says you'll be in hospital this afternoon having your appendix out... went to hospital.. got poked and prodded by heaps of people asking the same stupid questions.. got high on some morphine for a while then had some scans.. surgery that night at about 10pm.. 15 minutes in and out.. sunday to recover.. they initially told me i might go home sunday arvo.. that didn't happen but went home monday morning. told to take it easy for 2 weeks.

thats the thing i dont really have such an impressive scar, just 3 small ones, still theres less chance of infection and hernias etc.
still im getting sick of walking up the stairs!!

my surgeon was funny... last thing he says before heading off to get changed for the op.. "don't panic when you wake up and you've got a scar on the wrong side... its ok i wont take out the wrong thing".. then he just smiles at me and walks off.. lol

um not a great deal really, working a lot (well untill this happend)
spending time with my new girlfreind and thats about it.
i can walk around so yeah ill be able to get around dubs,
i dont think ill try climbing into the bucket seats in the baja for a few more days though.
