You may have seen elsewhere that I am putting a ej22 into my bay...
The current 2L motor will be dropped soon so I though I would find a buyer so they can see the motor running in the car.
2L type 4 twin carb motor
I have full service history on the 5 years I have had this car. Always serviced by good vw loving mechanic.
New german exhaust...6 mths
New compu-fire ignition...4mths
The motor still runs although it seems that the #3 exhaust valve seat has retreated slightly... cannot be sure as the head has not been pulled but my trusted mech supports this.
Needs a new head as such.
How much? Well please tell me if I am kidding myself...
$600

Sorry I haven't gpt back to you. I was chasing up for a friend. I think it is okay. I'll have to pass though. Got way too much personal stuff going on at the moment to be chasing car stuff unfortunately.

Ready when you are

Why don't you get the heads freshened up and and have a compression test done?
If Okrasa doesn't take it I'll stand next in line at $201.
I could use a few bits for my camper.

Do these bolt up to a vw bug transaxle with no mods?

if its a 1600 box you just run a 1800 flywheel and get the centre of the flywheel machined out for a spigot bush. they are alot heavier than a beetle engine aswell

Heavier by 15 kg and just use the needle bearing in the crankshaft how do you get it out, pack it with grease and get an input shaft from a gearbox and hit hard with hammer and hydraulic action pops out bearing.
