Wanted Adapt Plate to suit 1978 Kombi to EA81 Subaru motor, or where I can get hold of one.Any info would be much appreciated. The Cat.

Try John Sherman on the Gold Coast. I got an EA82T one from him, which was OK, other than the need for a session with the angle grinder to clear the turbo.

I have one here in perth for an ea82, I think it will be the same.

Sorry but why would you bother as an ea81 doen't go any better than a well tuned 2lt type 4 kombi motor.
If your looking for more reliable power you are better saving some more money up and fitting a EJ 22 Subie which is fuel injected , 1990 + new ,and has approx 105 bhp standard .
Give Custom Veedub a ring on 07 33564356 and they will be more than happy to give you a written quote on either a full or partial kit or drive in drive out finished.
And to answer your probable next question , no a ea81 adapter and ej22 are not the same.
