These moulds from the Porrera/Poraga stable surfaced a little while ago. They have been stored in good useable condition (as far as I can tell), and the owner wants his garden shed back. Looks to me to be the complete set, including slope nose front, whale tail, flat replacement roof, modification skins, bumpers etc etc.. All this stuff would have cost tens of thousands of dollars to make, and I'm sure would be invaluable if you actually like these cars, so does anybody want this stuff?

One more pic, there are more if anyone wants.

one word fuggly i think u will continue to own these 🙂🙂🙂😵💫😵💫😵💫

sorry to disagree dave but personally i think porrera's are nicer then a stck beetle.
either way, still prefer a type 3.
disclaimer: just because i think they are nicer, doesn't mean i'd own one. but in saying that, being given it as something to put together would be a good time waster...

Dave , how dare you think I owned these , you bloody mor#n!
I said they surfaced! It was through the forum that the came to light, an old customer of Volksrestore has them as left overs from a vw hire business on the sunny coast. They were stored in a garden shed when my mate took over the comercial lease.
Anyway, they exist, and I hate to see this sort of stuff trashed, even the Porrera, which I never liked although plenty of people did. That being said, I thought the moulds could be usefull to someone!

I actually thought this car had similiar attributes to the Porrera (probably Poraga actually), and looks not bad. I wondered about adapting/modifing the moulds to look more like this, especiall considering how many canopener convertables are still about.
Why didn't the poms take them?

Left myself wide open there!

Please destroy those moulds 😵💫
Ampdub ·
I dont think they should be destroyed, maybe a collector could keep them. they may not have been great looking but it is a part of the history, even though many do not like it.

hi, i would be interested in having a look at these moulds if you still have them ?
Well well, that is amazing, those are in NSW so not the same ones, timing is everything eh!
Not sure how many moulds are with this lot, they were all stacked in a large garden shed. We pulled one big one out and took the picks. As an educated guess they were all there.
Fireball, pm me your details or call 0408 704 662 and I can put you in touch with the guy, there is one member I just pm'd $$ to, basicly 1st in best dressed. $200 and removal oughta do it.
