Kombi air con system--> Now $600

Hi there everyone, hope you all had a lovely easter

anyways--> Anyone interested in a bay window roof mounted (T shape) air con system?
Looks like it`s nearly all there, the roof T vent system, the rad etc... I don`t have the pump tho

I was going to fit it into my duel cab but it`s all just a bit too much for me so i`m guaging interest & I was told about it`s worth about $1500

It`s all brand spanking new, still in the box (un-opened) & is meant to be made specifically to suit the bay window kombis

anyways, it`s here at my place in Murarrie Brisbane ph 0407135656 so if you`re keen or even if you know anything about them i`d be interested to hear from you anyways

how much work is involved in fitting one and how much would the pump be?

Hi all,, sorry to say but i`ve had a few people ask for photos , so i`ve opened all the boxes & unwrapped it all & it seems i`ve been a bit miss-lead

It`s actually 2nd hand

I`ve paid a small fortune for it all so i`ll be happy if i could get at least a grand$ for it all

& sorry but i`ve no idea about hop to fit air con but it does however look pretty simple. It is made to suit the kombis so i suspect it`1s just a matter of bolting it all in & plumbing up the hoses, & yes you`d haveto buy a pump from the wreckers & make it fit with brakets & belt etc

so,,, again i`m sorry for saying it`s new,,, what else can i say?

no worries man, i'm going to investigate further into these and speak to some ppl about this 🙂

They are not that hard to put together. Few bits missing as you said like a compresser unit but more importantly I think you need some special brackets to mount the pump onto the engine unless you have them lying around.

There is one of these units fitted into my DC - works a treat.

Thanks guys, all good, glad to hear some feedback on what they`re like, i would dealy like someone to buy all this off me, I have had a few enquiries & i`m pretty sure i won`t be fitting it into my DC so it`s definately up for grabs, first in best dressed

It`s still here guys & gals,,, common & do yourself a favour & buy this air con system & be ready for next summer when all your mates will be frying themselves toasting, baked hot in the traffic jams on the way to the vee dub shows next summer & you will be sitting pretty with ice cold air con breezing through the whole car, chilling you all out nice :-)

anyways, as posted on the Kombi Club forum-->

sorry i don`t have the bits that run down the pillars, (i didn`t know there was meant to be any, it looks like the hoses & wires run down inside the pillar to me but i`m probably wrong) nor do i have the compressor, nor do i have the brakets for the compressor

from what i`m told it`s easy & cheap to buy a 2nd hand jap import type late model normal car compressor & make the brakets up to suit you volks donk.

I only have what is shown in the pics,--> All the 2 poiece air con "T" roof vent & fan assy thing, the hoses, the radiator & shroud assy & the 2 fans for the radiator

AS far as i know it hasn`t been listed on e-bay at all

It`s been in storage for a few years from what i`m told & i actually believe the guy i got it off, he`s a very genuine fella. He bought it sight unseen & so did i,,, but that`s why i`ve opend it all up & taken pics so you can see exactly what you get.

I will accept offers over $800 now because i`ve just had my dogs cruciate ligament (Knee)repaired & it`s cost me over a $Grand, so please ring me 0407135656 & come grab this lot while you can

do you have the double row pulley for the belt and the tin ware to suit or is that missing as well??

If anyone is interested and it might help this item sell, I have a couple of brand new VW Transporter A/C retrofit kits. These have brand new compressors and evaporators, driers, hoses and some other elect/bracket bits. I have more than one kit but some kits have minor bits missing.

Only call if you seriously want them(No Tyre Kickers).
