just a heads up for anybody thinking of buying a VW Boss kit off "adpurchase" on Ebay.
I got done for $50(with postage) as the unit was the wrong fittment and sent back but have not seen my refund and they wont answer emails.
I asked all the right questions before I cliked the "Buy it now" and was told "its the right one for your bug"

Rob,
I will have to agree with you here, I have bought the same boss kit off the same seller. I recieved a message saying I would be contacted to arrange for a full refund once the boss gets back on wednesday. This was about five weeks ago. Now I do not get responses to my messages. I still have the boss kit but have no idea what vehicle it fits so I am unable to recoup any dollars by selling it. Oh yeah plus I reckon it was a fairly poor quality product as well.
Cheers

this guy pulled the same stunt with me, I payed with pay pal as you can get you $$ back if you tell them you did not get the goods. Anyway a couple of months later I got the boss after plenty of nasty emails

Pay with paypal that way you can get your money back and they will also do some contacting of the seller to find out whats going on.

Be warned even Paypal is no gaurantee! I've been done before through Paypal. They can only do so much...
It's better than the alternatives but it's still a case of buyer beware. Do some research before you buy. I always look at the feedback score as a good guide.....

I say give ebay the flick and lets start buying and selling our parts on here to fellow members, instead of listing parts on ebay then posting a link???👍

let the authorities at ebay know of this scammer and he should be struck off so the rest of us dont get done also.. cheers

I did report it but nothing has come about it.
When I bought it there was no PayPal, back in February, for this item just bank deposit/transfer.
robnjo ·
Looks like they have stopped selling under this user name and started a new account with Ebay...what can you do?

Its "Racing Hub Sports" (chinese or japanese etc) No. VW-4A. The box indicates Nardi, Momo, Personal, Arbarth, Indy, Raid, Italvolanti.
I've attached some pictures of the box.
If you could have a look to see if you can find out what it fits that would be gretly appreciated.
You also have a PM.
Cheers

I'm not sure what is worse, dealing with "adpurchase" or the EBAY dispute system.

Fully agree paypal are extremely difficult to deal with when it comes to desputes. After entering into a dispute both ebay and paypal said the situation was resolved and it wasn't as I got no refund or settlement after months of emails and police reports, postal reports, etc. as requested by ebay/paypal.😬 Cost me heaps of time and money! After phoning and speaking to a so called supervisor they suggested that I take out a court case privately. So yeah some buyer protection.🤪
In saying this I still buy regularly off ebay.😂

I just don't trust ebay at all anymore. I have never had any bad experiences but have heard of soo many friends that have been messed around by it.. One even spent 5,000 and never saw what he purchased! 👎

i agree ebays dispute system is about as helpful at tits on a bull
ive bought and sold 84 things on ebay now but only one of those ive had a problem with
something i bought never turned up and i ended up going to ebay dispute console and ebay were totally useless cos the seller wouldnt make contact
they basically said theres nothing we can do but provide infomation to the police so in the end it wasnt worth wasting mine and the cops time over a $65 item

I agree, I put in a claim and after waiting the month or however long it was they said I had to wait. They then said I was in the right and could claim, so waited again, only to be told the seller had no funds in their PayPal account so they could not retrieve anything for me!!!!
So in short if you are a DUD just keep your PayPal Account empty when you Dud someone!!!

Ive FLICKED FLEA-BAY long ago for my Vee Dub stuff.
There are plenty of good Vee Dub dealers in Sydney to buy just about anything you want..
