so, weve just bought our 3rd vdub, a nice rust free 1600 l bug- only to discover, the tail lights wont work! ive had a look at the fuses, which all seem fine, so i had a look in the engine bay to discover--- a an interesting home wiring job. does any one know if its at all possible to buy the wiring as a a 'plug n play' or do i have to whip the solder out and figure this mess out?
quickly, we havent had it 3 days and my wife already wants the bug gone!!
thanks!

No simple solution etc...
get the soldering iron or connectors out...

buy a crimping tool, much easier to fix if you get the wires hooked up wrong 🤪

ah well, time to get the solder out of retirement then.....
having and inch thick of grease on everything except the lump should make this quite a messy job......😵💫
