After the accelerator tube that goes from the engine tinware to the metal accelerator tube at the rear of the car. So its the tube that runs from chassis to motor.

Protective Tube - Accelerator cable Part No 111 721 551
I doubt if you will be able to get it, use a bit of thin walled plastic hose ie reticulation section at Bunnings

You can still get new ones from the US of A,aprox $20 + postage.CIP and AC.net and CSP still list them.
Accelerator guide tube or throttle guide tube.

it just protects the accelerator cable from rubbing on anything....
or anything going down the cable tube in the chassis..

as Grahame said
poly pipe - hose etc..

I could have measured mine for you as I have been working on My car all week
its all together now and the autostick servo etc
are now in the way to even see it...

I see these at swap meets all the time...

cheers

Hi Mick,

I have a couple of OK second hand ones.

Give me a call, you can pop over this Saturday afternoon and pick it up. I am just west of Parramatta.

Freebie!

Cheers,

David

Hi

These are very useful, if you ever break an accelerator cable, and if its all hooked up per factory you can push a new cable from front to back without getting under the car.

The stock tube also acts a bit like a clutch guide tube by taking engine movement out of accelerator cable.

Its also a good idea to weld a tag on tube that goes through the fan housing, I weld it on the carb side of the tube and put a self tapper or tec screw onto the tag to stop the tube moving around, VW used a special grommet for this but I like the tag idea better.
