Roof metal thickness

how thick is 18 gauge and is a bug roof thicker than this?
I'm going to cut my Rag top out for another project and was thinking of buying a set of Air Shears.
any thoughts??

If i was you i would use a angle grinder with a thin cutting wheel,and then sell it to me👍cheers shane.

18 swg = 0.0480" (1.219 mm) if this helps. Would think that the roof would only be about 0.8 mm but check.

angle grinder makes such a mess in the shed, when the dude cut my clip in he used Air Shears but I wasn't sure on Tool size.
