How would you like the speedo to read KMH
and the odometer
to read in Miles??
there was one on ebay...
KMH & Miles were written on it
plus 16 km = 10 miles also written in small writing..
it must have been for someone who likes to know how many MILES He has travelled
but likes KMH so he won't go over the speed limit...

I think many dealers had a good sticker that could be placed on the speedo if the customer wanted it. I actually saw one of these original stickers on Ebay not long ago.

but this was how the actual speedo was made...
actually, back when the Miles to KMH change was on
Service stations used to have stickers for just about every car on the road back then..

Yes if thats how the speedo is then I have not seen before, must have come out of the 1/2 finished spare parts bin from the 60's and used by the guy putting together the 70's cars.

didn't have the fuel gauge in there...
seller said it was from a 1969 beetle...??

Too much flash in the original picture, but if you look closely this is a stickered MPH speedo, not stock ( the Fuel gauge is also present but obscured by the camera flash). For those interested, the ebay item number is 190216103735, Cheers.

This was a conversion carried out by a number of VDO agencies in australia....this is a sticker fitted inside the speedo unlike the outer stickers ..we use to sell both types years ago cheers steve
