Just a quick word to say it was great to meet a couple or so members from here at the Nationals. Big day wandering about. So many cars, too little time. But thoroughly enjoyed the day. Thanks must be given to the Organisers for putting on a great day for all and sundry. My one little itch being the judging taking place upon immediate entry. Granted there were many cars to check, and many many cars far more of endearment than mine, but spending 10 minutes per car on average must have created a backlog. When i arrived at 8am and duly waited in line there were another twenty vehicles grouped up behind me. After i was ushered through, the line-up was way beyond the the check-in. Beyond that the bonus for me was the aquisition of a 'thug' eagle statue which quickly found its way perched under the bonnet. Finally, congratulations to those that took out awards. A great day indeed. cheers

Yeah great day, lots of great pals to say g'day too, and all the kids activities are a saving grace. My only grudge is queuing to judge, because if you've got a car load of kids, how do you manage them, and moving your car through the judging queue? My only gripe....

Well done to Birch and Club VeeDub on organising such a great day.

Hi

A lot colder though, good air cooled driving weather.

Altough weve been doing this for 21 years we try diffrent things to make the the judging easier and farer.

Last year we had the general public trying to enter the same gate as the show entrants, we moved the show entrance out of the way to prevent free loaders from sneaking in.

Were already thinking about what we can do about the queue for next year.

Thanks to all that attended.

Here's a few more pics. I can't be arsed finding the other threads.

My fave non-VW car there...

But this was my fave. Love the scallops and the kidney rims. Also like the dummy spots. I've got a pair of those but not game to drill The Fink to put them on.
