What about flying over and packing it yourself?
Could be fun.

yeah but you wouldn't get me to come home again...............what about we sail over Matt, that sounds the cheapest environmentally friendly funnest option!

Hi
Take some weights & measurements and see if it USPS http://postcalc.usps.gov/ can handle something that size.

I suggest that you go onto the Manx Dune Buggy Club site, manxclub.com and ask if there is anyone there who can help you.
It's a members only site to post on, so if you would like me to, I'll post something there for you.
Richard.

Sailing would have been better a couple of years ago as my present boat [Hobie 18] would be friggn cold, and you need to go by yourself to be able to carry the wieght home. Or I could go with you Daimo, to show the way, and just leave me there. Very enviro friendly, NO fuel costs.....Perfect really....if you got the time..

I just got a package in from the US west coast today - 42lb - Express post cost $212. I seem to recall gearboxes weighing a bit more than that. Invoice date was 16 June.
