If people get rude or attack people's personality I will get the moderators to remove this post entirely.

The formulae I used is close to what this site gets so it is a good basis from what I have seen.

While it is not a proof, you can work the numbers backward to help predict 1/4 mile and 1/8 mile peeds.

The ETs are difficult to optimise, but can be achieved.

Shifting at 10% over power peak
and leaving the line at an rpm that keeps the engine above peak torque,
as well as running through the traps at 10% over peak power
are some rules of thumb but do not work in every case.

USE TWO DECIMAL PLACES WITH YOUR ET & MPH(no rounding up!!)
in these formulae, and convert car weight to pounds.

Try it out and then we will see you all at warwick for the practical part of the exercise.

This , using the speeds thru the finish is about 6hp higher than what I see at the chassis dyno,
and 10 higher than corrected on a superflow engine dyno.

I will try to work out a way to give the formula I use.

This one works within a couple of HP based on 1/4 mile speeds and ET:
