Kombi engine in beetle

Hi all,

I have a choice of engines to go back into the baja.

At the moment it is a 1500 single with a 1300 gearbox.

Now i have avail a 1600 twin type 3

or

a 2lt combi engine.

What do you all suggest to use?

go the 2l but it only looks good with the upright kit

if u go the 2L like rexy said itll need to be converted to upright
cos in stock form the fan being so low and exposed sucks in all the dirt and heat off the exhaust so it wont last long
