The rules in Queensland state that you can as long as you have proof of registration in the current configuration.
What that means is as long as you can prove that it has been previously registered as a Manx Buggy then you can register it again.
In this case as it is being sold without a pan / chassis number you would have to build it as an Individually Constructed Vehicle which is a lot more work.
Being that it is a Manx it would be a very good buy for someone with a non Manx buggy wishing to upgrade or someone with previous rego and no body.
I have been told that in NSW you can still register them if you get an engineer to sign off but I do not have that in writing so can’t comment.
Anyway you look at it $2200 is still a good price for a Manx Body in this condition with all the extras such as seats etc and if I was looking at buying another Buggy I would jump on it.
If you look at Bulletin 34 of May 2000 you will see it clearly states this. As I have been asked this many times I have actually types it in word perfect and put it on the web back in 2000 so people could read it all for themselves.

I hope that helps.
