Looking for some good condition J pipes and some plugs to plug the fanshroud for my Beetle's 1600DP.
Just looking what I can find second hand before I buy a new set.

Plugs are welsh plugs from super cheap check the measurement but I think 2 1/4" fits
J pipes are always better new

1 7/8" 👍

if u can find them
i dunno what theyre off but hardly anyone carries them

I have a pair of German ones that came off an industrial engine. They weigh about three times as much as the Brazilian new ones. Heavy Duty. $40 a pair if you want them.

Also have a fan shroud that doesn't have any heater outlets off the same engine, but its for a single port motor, i.e no doghouse $20.

I have a pair of Kadron J tubes that are new and I don't need them any more.
I can't remember what I paid for them and not sure what they are worth off the top of the scone so let me know if you want them.
They'd be pretty cheap to post I'd imagine.
Not sure about fan shroud of plugs but I could have a dig around tomorrow

I got some welsh plugs from Autobarn yesterday - like Joel said 1 7/8". Put a 1/8" aluminium rivot in to hold them in place.

Sounds like you might be sorted, but just to show you the difference between Brazilian and German, I weighed both of them on our digital scales.

First up the german ones, a nice healthy 2.4kg's

Second up the Brazilian ones, they failed to register even 100 grammes on our scales.

Like a lot of Brazilian parts, they do the job, it just a matter of changing it 3 or 4 times to the german equivalent of once.

Cheers
