I recently bought a 90 Civic Si with a ZC Engine swap and was wondering about putting a turbo kit in it.
It already has a cold-air intake.
But I was driving down the road and a 240sx smoked me, so I kinda played it off like I wasn't really tryin, but he really did beat me, ever since then I've been thinking about what I could do to get more acceleration from my ride. And I decided that a new pipe will do me good and then maybe a turbo kit?
I'm not really very mechanical-savvy so I cant put stuff in my self or put stuff together really, I dont know nearly enough about cars.
Also, could my subwoofers in my trunk really be holding me back that much? I have 2 12's with 2 amps... is that making that much of a difference?

i dont want to spend a whole lot of money all together... I think I only want to put another thousand bucks into this car and then call it quits on this baby... keep it for a little while and then sell it and start another project or something... unless i can find a CHEAP paint and body shop that'll put on a nice 'CHEAP' body kit and repaint it for me...
but thats beside the point. right now I want to focus on exhaust tip and turbo kit... and the turbo kit, I dont know what to look for, or anything.. I know this is a big deal. But I need juicy details, I looked on ebay just for kicks, saw some kits for 600-800 bucks. But I realized that there is a lot of stuff there. And I dont know what to look for to know if it'll fit my engine since its Japanese or whatever other reason it wont fit... So.. How can I know?
as for the exhaust tip, I wanted a Huge pipe, I was thinking one of those real big ones you see at auto zone, its like 3" output and like 2 1/4" input i think... or I was thinking of maybe going with a glasspack and a smaller size tip in stead of a really big pipe. Any thoughts on that??

Point the sub woofers backwards and turn your amp to full blast. That will give you more speed

Ah, also don't forget to remove the roll cage (made of plumbing pipes) to lighten your machine

You could replace your body work with plastic parts, oh that's right your rice ride came like that from the factory....
Just stick with a 6 inch tip off the factory exhaust that's got to be good for 100hp easy. Thats about all you can do for less than a grand
And head to the right forum while you're at it

I'll let you in on some of the secrets the hard hitters on the street dont want you to know about!
These will give you the power to smoke most anything on the road at well under $1000 all while saveing you a ton in fuel costs which you can spend on getting a mad kit off ebay the layup on the GRP on the kits off there are the best!
Don't listen to the haters about this stuff, they are all in bed with big oil!
A few other awesome tips I'll give you is to install the smallest and lowest dia tyres you can your car will accleirate much much faster I bet you'll notice it on the speedo! (why do you think minis were so fast back in the day!)
