MkIV GTI - The Beginning

Hi,

I just bought a MKIV GTi, a nice black one dropped nicely so its flushed with the tyres. I'm not a fanatic but am starting to fall in loves with VW and slowly becoming an enthusiast. The engine is stock thus I want to do some subtle and progressive work to it to boost the performance and the overall look of the car.

Just wondering if anyone have any suggestions of what would be the first steps I should take to boost the performance?

I'm first thinking of an airfilter and maybe a Blow off valve but don't know what product/brand I should get or where from? (I Live in the western suburbs in NSW)

My price range is between low to mid.

Any help would be great!

Well I would say do all the obvious first: exhaust, pod filter, front mount intercooler and yes blow off valve. Wait for other anwers first though as I don't know much 😂
