any of you people out there had any dealings with dry sump pumps on ej series engines? have been doin a bit of reasearch and there are a few but thought id ask here aswell.

JVL told me his engine builder advised him that an EJ wouldn't need a dry sump system for circuit racing. Be worth looking at what Pro-drive do on their rally cars. Anything they use on their tarmac racers is more than you'll ever need for anything you might do. Other place to look is at EJ conversions for kit aircraft.

Hi

Not quiet as good as a dry sump, but I'm considering one of these units. http://www.accusump.com

Interesting, Steve. Let us know if you fit one.

the dry sump is more for ground clearence, while retaining decent volume and placing weight where i want it as well as providing a constant supply of oil without running an oil cooler. sump for the oil is in the passenger footwell right up the front with the battery.

Hi

Ground clearance is an issue, I will be interested in what you find. I now have a Bugs@5speed sump so hopefully I'm covered in this respect.
