BRENO ·

Just picked this up off ebay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=190263896541

Now i got 3 decades of beetles, 55, 65 and 74. The bug has bit me!

(the 65 is parts car for the 74 and the 55)

VWCOOL ·

"...It just followed me home!"

Not many bits from 60s will fit 70s models, BTW

Joel ·

yup and it looks to solid to waste as a parts car
they not making anymore especially early models

thick german steel fire doesnt worry to much
check samba members rides, somone has just done a cheap as repair job on one burned worse than that one

BRENO ·

I will make it fit. the parts i want any way.

Thats the fun in building cars. Im spewing its night time, i just wanna get into it!!

I'm lucky too cause the missus actually is cool with this one. 👍

Calcool ·

Looks like you might need to check the chassis number as it might be a private import, looks like later guards with upright headlights???

The fire will expose what is really underneath and pretty hard to warp the rear panels if they have not been warped in a prior rear ender.

Cheers,

David

Joel ·

theyre just late model front gaurds with the bumper slots filled

its an aussie built bug
its either a 66 standard or a 67 custom
