I'm prepared to be shot down, but I don't know that what you have there is a 74 L Bug. As far as I'm aware the 74 L would have a curved windscreen and curved dash and the engine would be a 1600. The best way to check is to look at the spare wheel. If it lies on its side then you have a Super (but probably before 74), if it sits up at an angle then its a Beetle, but I would think without the 'L' designation. Others on here know the differences better than I and will be able to correct my mistakes.

Hi

Its 1300 bug, 4 wheel drums, swing axle rear end and beam front end. These were the povo pack Beetles that sold at a reduced price to combat the Japanese invasion of small cars.
