W Vert decklid - Anyone know where to get them ?

Looking for a W Vert decklid. Know anyone locally (in Oz) who sells them? Any help would be great.

saw someone selling repros here in aus, that were of high quality...........might have been ebay i saw it on

not cheap, tho if that's what your AFTER.......

i will try and search it out again

getting there, sure i saw an advert from an Aussie with these.........❓

these were on every new beetle.... once.... lol

but Karmann ones with the vents... rare as..

the engine lid you need is available NEW from Vintage Vee Dub in Sydney 02-9789-1777

If lots of people had them then they would not be so rare would they, unless you are comparing to rocking horse shit or something common like that. W lids aren't impossible to find, sure, but since he wants a convertible lid there's not much option but to import or get one from VVDS.

There was a guy on thesamba a while back who made the vent section to graft into your own lid, not sure if he is still doing it but it is another way.

Aside from VVDS, there is an ad in Hot VW's for KSR, they make them, www.ksreproduction.com/vw.asp

Either way open that chequebook!!

Maybe a broken record, but Boris does have them. He showed them both off at Day of on Melbourne the other month. (one with vents, the other just a stright W lid)

sydney gumtree has repros & originals advertised (same ad) $400-900 i think depending on what u wanted, i have a funny feeling it could be vic the guy with the 110 dubs awhile back
