Volkswagen annually produces more than 500 metric tons of the Indo-Teutonic dish to feed workers in its staff canteens. That鈥檚 15,000 sausages a day or 3.3 million a year. And in November 2008, VW鈥檚 sausage factory produced what it claims is the longest currywurst known to man -- all 130 meters of it -- as part of a TV telethon. The VW production lines evidently run as smoothly for sausages as they do for Sciroccos.
