I need to clean up the side of my shed to lay pavers, this is where a heap of vw parts have been stored for many years and i want rid of them, parts as follows,
1 1960"s karmann ghia floorpan, needs new floors but has the wider sections and seat bases, needs work $100
1 bay kombi engine lid, gc $15
1 set jelly bean mags tyres avg, $75
1 type 3 g/box, good for long axles only, no brakes, $50
beetle side glass, $10 each 68 on
air vent cowl fibreglass for under bug rear window $20
4 stud rims $10 each
1 split ute rear window(large) rare model $25
inside bus engine cover $10
later style bug decklid, 2 air vents, gc $25
i have engine parts on shelves, second hand 1600 cranks rods,pistons,barrels,heads etc,cheap

they are in good cond mate, the hinges are the normal ones with 2 screws in each, not the other less common type if thats what you are looking for, will fit 74-77 or so

Hey I am assuming (hoping against hope really) the kombi t/gate is a ute tailgate?
If so I will take it if it is reasonably straight.
It is for my 69. (assuming it suits that)

isky the decklid needs a whole new bottom welded in, rusted out, andy the gearbox is only good for the axles unless you get it rebuilt, its a 60/s year box

A welder interstate is $75 but that was on Fleabay but if you in a metropolitan area and not WA it should be around $50-80.

T1 engine thermo and complete flap mechanism
1200 front tinware (firewall side)
1200 crank pulley tinware

1200 or 1600 exhaust
early 60's interior trim

2x Threaded sheath that fits over the wiper spindle and connects to the wiper arm (Early 6v aluminium ones)
chrome headlight trim
Gear shift knob (White)
Rear vision mirror and sun visors
Popes Nose complete
Good condition clear front indicator plastics (no cracks)
Early Indicator stalk (Metal with white rubber handle and white collar)

the 1976 beetle had plastic headlamp surrounds instead of chromed steel ones... and only had the one screw hole at the bottom as the headlights were adjusted behind the surround..
later model chromed ones will fit...
but they do have two other adjuster screws... with long screws..

Apologies Lee, this may sound a bit daft, but thought 76 (or 77) was the last year Beetles were made in Germany. Hence, what do you mean by later model?
And are there steel headlight surrounds as well that will fit? They would probably suit me better as I am planning a de-chrome of my car.

You mean the small number plate lamp..
pre 1964??
the Pope's nose lamp was so called as it was also the brake light
and glowed RED when the brakes were used...
the round tail lamps were only tail lamps...
these are ON split window beetles.... EARLY..

I thought that was an early popes nose on pre58 and then 59-60 was a wider popes nose before the big wide licence plate light came about and stayed until the end 😉
