Now THAT is one nice Beetle! 馃憤
Ex-Japan or UK?
crsedge 路
Ex-Japan!
You are right, it is a great Beetle, just bad timing 馃檯
I have only had the car from January (thus the report from Gold Coast VW is current!) purchased from the owner in QLD, and have spent quite a few $1000 on floor pans and struts.
My loss is someone elses gain (or will be!!)

bargain looks a sweet stockie
Craig Torrens 路
why did you replace the pan halves, were they rusty ?
Is the rest of the car original, like original paint and motor etc or has it been restored ?
Cheers
crsedge 路
Two small rust spots on pans, so decided to replace full pan halves, cost over $3K ( have receipts).
No other restoration that I am aware of, motor original with nil issues.
Great stock car that could be easily left or customised as per buyers wishes.

Price Dop- $14,950!!!
This car would be a great base for a German Looker Cabriolet, see this months issue of VWMA:
Yes, you are right, I still can't believe that this is up for grabs!!
The only other two cabriolets for sale on the internet are $19500 (LHD) and $30,000, which are clearly more expensive, and LHD less desirable (in my mind anyway).
There must be someone who can justify it! 馃お

It must be just the time of year!
Mini Mokes always sell more easily and for more $$ in spring than Autumn or Winter.
I guess it's the same for any convertible.
crsedge 路
Yeah, you are probably right regarding the seasons.
On the flip side, could be a great winter project to build an awesome Cal or German Looker for summer (not that it needs that)!

Hi Craig. Where the floors fitted by a VW specialist, and would you email me some shots of the work carried out on the floors. I once restored VW's for a living and know that floors put in wrong are a nightmare! I will call you once ive got them. my email is dgorton@westnet.com.au
crsedge 路
Email Sent.
Had full floors (rather than halves which could have been done) fitted by Gold Coast Vee Dub at cost of over $3000, I too did not wish to allow just any panel beater to replace these.
