Where do you guys go for body panels?

Just curious as to where you guys get body panels from?

I was sent an EMPI catalogue from one of the bigger VW stores in Sydney (sorry, not got the name to hand...might be vintage veedubs?) and was suprised to see pretty much everything listed except panels.
I'm going to be after 4 new guards, front & rear valance, long bonnet and semi w lid.
Anyone know where i can source these?

Hey Neil,
before buying new replacement panels I would look for some used original panels. The new replacements lack quality and can be ill fitting. Put up a wanted add here with what your after and most of the time you can score stuff for a fraction of the cost of new.

might be vintage veedubs?

no it wont be Vintage as they dont have EMPI catalogues but they do sell some of the items

thye also have new panels all the ones you require 02-9789-1777

as per Alien8 the origional panels are always the best especially when chemically dipped to remove all rust and paint so your paanel beater can get stuck into them and straighten

mmm i imported the front clip from the US, it was shite quality, and believe it or not a week after buying the clip from the US i found a good condition original :P. German ones are nice big fat metal, the new ones are like tin foil or something 😉

Start looking at the wrecking yards around your general area,
there most probably will be a vw lying in there ......
