Thanks for the information all. I am wondering if the Astrum can be registered in QLD that will determine whether I bring it up as well.

Look forward to the response on that question.

The Astrum will be out for a play on easter w/end at Stockton Beach lookin forward to it as I haven't driven it for months.

Cant imagine why you couldnt get the Astrum regisitered in QLD.... talk to CVD they would know all the neccesary buggy related stuff required.

yup. Pete's there man.

Pete if the Astrum is currently registered in NSW as a buggy or possibly even the old "Homemade " catergory and it has been registered for more than 12 months as either of the above which i believe it has then i don't believe you will have any dramas .
just ask Queensland transport for a residual rego application and all will be good .
It will need to be accompanied by a passed Safety Certificate ( RWC ) which we at CVD can help you with pending on the car being up to scratch on all items of the certificate ie brakes , belts , seating , oil leaks , tyres etc etc etc
Hope this helps your desision on what to do with the car .

Hi Andrew,

Can I get the following registered in QLD

Stock except for lowering and no structural rust at all.

Can this be registered on a limited usage, historical registration?

Currently run out of rego in NSW, was registered until late March 2009.

Cheers,

David

Bring it in for us to give it a look over and you will also need to be a member of a car club to get concesional rego

Just had a look at that concessional rego and it's a bit crap. says you can only drive the car to club meets, wedding of family and to/from a repairers. Doesn't say you can drive it at any other time. Unless it's a daily driver then you should have some kinda rego that allows a cetain amount of weekend driving, say 2000k a year or something like that.
or am I wrong?
