One of my bugs originally came from Lanocks Motors, and it still has the remnants of a window sticker on the back window.

Has anyone got any photos, literature (another sticker!) that I could use to get anothery made up?
Thanks, Simon

Please, whatever you do, don't remove the old sticker. Once it's gone, that's it.

year same as that one above

The second generation sticker is an easy one to re create. All you need to be really accurate would be the dimensions. The first original sticker can be done as long as you have a GOOD photo to start with. They wouldn't be done as water transfers any more.

your kidding right! that looks like crap!
clean it off and look for a replacement.

I will only take the old one off once I've got a replacement that I am happy with. The back window also has a road block pass sticker on it, that is also looking pretty tatty - but anyone from Albury/Wodonga from around the 70's and early 80's would remember the damn fruit fly check!

Thanks for posting that later one, but I am going to stick to this earlier version. It was originally delivered 9th September 1958.

I don't think it would be impossible to make one up from what I have, although the area on the left would be a bit dodgy.

It will take me months/years to get this done - so if anyone ever sees one - then please get a photo of it.

Thanks, Simon

Try Expert Signs,He can make to order!!. Cranebrook n.s.w.

I've tried to match the font, but of course these signs were done more or less manually to order in the 1950s, so the font used looks to be more of an 'adaptation' than an exact standard font. Nevertheless, "Goudy 38" is a pretty close match in terms of the letter forms and serifs and is a very old font (originally 1902), widely in use in the '50s.

the exact font isn't necessary if you have good software and know how to use it. Anything can be reproduced from a good photo to start with. We do it all the time.

That's your opinion v my opinion.

I'll take my opinion thanks.

Just because it's redone, doesn't make it original anymore.
