it is distributed by random postcode allocation. My last name starts with A and I haven't seen anything yet. But it is rolled out over the next 6 weeks or so.

The payments are being made via post codes.
Locations that have experienced floods, fires etc get the payments first.
They started last week and are sending out upto 100,000 direct debtits per night.
Then there ar ethe cheque payments.

No specific details are being released as to what areas first etc for fear of theft and fraud.

Mines not arrived yet (post code 7310) but I bought my new bug with the promise of it coming. It better come now Im committed!

The whole process is totally random. Nothing to do with Postcode or Last names, just random. Spoke to the tax department yesterday. I've got mine, but Bob hasn't got his yet. We live in the same house so there went that idea of postcode. He is a "M" and i'm a "S", there went that idea, so i just had to ask. It's more like a random jackpot.

I just got back last night from Thailand. jeez some really well restored Kombis and beetles there. Unfortunately as it was the songkran festival all auto shops are closed as I could have got a reconditioned starter for 10 bucks and heaps of other bits and pieces GRRRR. Decided to grab myself 4 x clearanced ball joints (upper and lower), new inner and outter/front and rear wheels bearings, all new bearing seals, kombi tranny oil seals, clutch throw out bearing, new dustcover/guide for the throwout, 2 x new kombi cv boots, reverse lock out plate, rubber steering coupler, pedal assembly, new set of pedal rubber pads, brake light switch and will be picking up shifter, shifting rod and bug-to-bus shifter coupler adapter on friday :P.

It don't take long to burn $900 when automotive is involved hey... 😂

You have to learn to stagger these bills....
My car was off the road for about 6 months in 2007
and now My insurance is about 6 months from My Rego..

Seeing You can only drive one beetle at a time rose,
shouldn't We only have to pay for One beetle and just transfer the licence plates from car to car...
Now I think thats a great idea....

Person who thinks the government is doing a bad job should move to the USA or another country that is MUCH MUCH Worse off than we are.....
They could have doubled taxes and halved job search/ the dole & pensions etc....

Spewing. I always knew I wouldn't be getting it - something to do with earning to much. But my wife won't get it either this year, because with the sale of our house and result tax deducation last year, she therefore didn't earn enough. Yet our combined salaries would be under the threshold. Sucks big time - if only I could salary sacrifice some of my pay to my wife, then we'd both be able to get it. Thanks Kev.
