Hello, anyone out there know where I can pick up a regulator and generator for a 72' 1300 cc beetle? Preferably in Sydney metro area. Thx

Give http://www.classicveedub.com.au/ or http://www.vintageveedub.com.au/ an email / call. might be cheaper to convert to alternator, the kits arent too expensive, then you dont need the regulator. only thinkg to watch is how close it comes to the carby. (so ask first)

which ever you get either genny or alternator
dont forget to have the fan set up correctly so you get the proper cooling for the engine

and if you get an alternator u will need a belt and fuel pump to suit

Can you get yours rebuilt?

I have heard the bearings in the new ones are no where near as good as the old.
Usual story on parts
