What would be the right tyre size for 7" Fuchs so the tyre won't stick beyond the rim lip? 65x205?

why dont you want it sticking beyond the rim lip??
Best way to protect from kerb rash
I have Michelin Pilot and the have like a 10mm square edge protecting the rim
They are 16" 225 50 series

We have Toyo's on ours the tyre sticks out to protect the mag
rear 205/60 R16
front 195/55 R16

Because the rim (towards the back of the car) is already sticking out of the guard which means illegal. I don't want tomake things worse. See the pic below. The left side of the pic is the back of the guard. The pic is taken from above. This is on a 912

Can you put a 6" rim on there ??
otherwise -
I would try a 195
7" = 178mm
205 would give too much bulge

Yeah, eventaully I would like to go 6" all around but right now I only have 7" rims

Is t just the photo, or does that wheel have a massive amount of toe-in going on ???
If so get the toe set right, and you might find the rim edge is inside the guard after all. A 912 with standard brakes etc. should accept a 7" ET23 rim on the rear without issue... what spec are your rims ???
Also pretty sure it's the edge of the tread for legality.... 7" rims are normally 7.5" at the lip, which is 190.5mm, so even a 195 could be an issue....

No, 7" won't fit under the 912 guards for sure. It is not a toe in/out issue, just the way the guard tapper in towards the back. At best, a 912 guard will take a 6" with all the tread being inside the guard

best way to find out, is go to your local tyre shop and get them to put someones old tyres on your rims they should have heaps in a bin out the back of the shop. and then you will know. what fits
