Item Description – 1800 single port motor (dont ask why they didn't build it as a twin port cause i dont know🤪) which is complete and can be heard running. Has a reconditioned Holley bug spray carby with electric choke which all works well. Tin work all there as well. Engine is about 5 yrs old (was used as a daily for 2yrs and done occasion runs since).
Condition – No knocks or rattles but could do with a seal around the oil pan. This motor has heaps of torque and went up the range at 50mphr easy.
Bolt in, add exhaust and your off!

There are some pics here but no close ups. I have all the beetle tin wear for it. It really only did a few hours in the buggy, one test day at Roma and one trip to spring creek 4wd park and NO it wasn't thrashed! hey mate just a couple of quick questions i dont have time to research in my lunch break, will this fit in a standard bug? If yes can i put 1600tp heads on this and how would you look at freighting to darwin nt? Cheers paul

Had a lot of queries if its a 1776 or 1835 etc
lets assume its a 1776 and if its a 1835 you win, the engine case has had some machine work done, i.e the timing pully area has been machined for a oil seal, so if they went to that trouble maybe they did machine it out for the 1835 barrels.
Pauld - I am happy to secure it on a pallet for the buyer to org pick up/freight. 1600tp heads would fit but would most likely need machined to accept barrels and you would lose the bug spray unless you have a manifold to fit it.

My apologies to those who made inquries but i have had to help out a friend and lend him this engine while his is fixed/rebuilt. It will be back for sale in a month or so, i hope.
