How hard is i to change over the framehead so that it is possible to fit a balljoint beam, and is the framehead or floorpan's integrity compromised?
Basically thinking instead of spending x amount of dollars on a BJ front bug, i'd change over the framehead as it would be cheaper.

It is possible
I know a Super (1302 S Bug) that was changed to a ball joint beam
*measure and measure again*

Yes, it's possible but if you have to ask you don't know how 🙂 so just do a pan swap: easier, cheaper

so worries, i spose to I can do up the pan and then just swap the body over, i'm actually doing it so I can put you brake kit on it VWCOOL,

yeah it's a lot of work to do it right
i know someone who was going to use an sbug pan and put a link pin frame head on it instead of irs boxes on the kp pan 🤪
and if your going to get another pan find a nice one
other wise you will have to replace both half and still need a bj beam
i got a bj irs pan off ebay last year for 500 bux come with beam and kombi box
but everything was craped out beam need new everything
rear bushes had held water and rusted everying out when i got it apart
it has cost me more then what i paid for it !

Be careful about that.
I think that you will need to have it inspected, by an engineer and the rego people, otherwise you could have an illegal modification. You could compromise the legality of your registration and your insurance company could refuse to cover you in the case of and accident etc., etc., etc..
That could be classified as modfying the chassis, which in the case of shortening a pan for a buggy, makes the car into an Individually Constructed Vehicle (ICV) which means that it becomes a new car. You would the be walking into a registration nightmare.
