Have just uploaded Jaks story from the 21st

As the subjest said click herehttp://www.clubvw.org.au/porsche_drivers_just_way_you_thr.htm

It's good to see that the porsche racers respect our vw's and appreciate them.:thumb

HAhahahahahaha what great reading. Very nice.

that sounds way cool. What about trying to organize a annual VW track day? Either through the porche club or by itself. Mabye around the same time as the nationals or simmilar show event? I would make the love to make the trip down, even thougyh u guys would leave me for dead.

Great story! :thumb I love hearing about VWs sticking it up nearly any other brand of 'performance' car. 😀

Our VWs are very welcome at the Porsche club. If we could only get a few more people to actually turn up rather than just talk it up we could have our own category - that means all the beetles out together. That would be the best.

Great story Jak. Here are some more pics from the day.

Hmmm - square on the jaw 🙁

At the moment i am having a sh!t time with cars!
Went through the dizzy troubles with Daisy and then she decides to spring some oil leaks :o

Although my wife loves me dearly she just didnt see the funny side when i even hinted i would not be fixing her car cause i was going racing.

At the moment every time i think about doing something for myself or others "old man stuff it up" pops his head up and says "nope you aint doing that m'boy"

I have fixed the steering in Blue2 - but trying to get to the other things alls i am doing is finding things to spend money on.

Pulled the wheels to do the front brakes and all's i did was find a small nick in one of the front side walls on the inside. No drame driving round town but i aint racing on it!

Then the speedo on Daisy decides ti go south today!

Hmmmm...... i love cars..........yeah right! :birthday

Had a great day guys, but I must admit that the first couple...no most of my laps were as fast as hell down the main straight.......and as slow as buggery around the corners!
BUT.....I've just posted away the entry for July 20th at Wakefield Park. It's funny how tight those corners get....much tighter than when you watch it on the TV.😀
If the Spyder's not going then I'm taking the race tires off it and fitting them to the Speedster.🙂

i would love to race but driving to sydney every month or so is a bit to much for me. thats y i sugested a annual event.

Jak, the rain didn't deter me, I had a exhibitors stand at the annual Pharmacy Trade fair (Darling Harbour)!!!!!

I "posted" that I was to run at Wakefield on the 22nd with the supersprint series, but unfortunately they had over 95 entries for a day limited to 85. The club said I could run next time !

I have spent several nights changing my gearbox over to a standard (for the supersprint), so no turning back now !!!

Oran Park supersprint on the 6th of July will be my first !!

Can't wait to have the two cars.😀😀

Guys, wait till december and do the caltex chase descent at bathurst!

It is the most awesome thing I have ever done. As big an andrenaline rush as bungy jumping only you get to do it over and over! Turning a corner at 180kmh really tests the undies. No idea how Skaife Loundes et al do it at over 280.

See you out there Craig on the 6th.
