This car turns heads everywhere!

colonel mustard ·

Love it. looks awesome. show us more of your cars!!!

izac ·

looks sweet rexy! looks a hundred times better than those black rims 😎

colonel mustard ·

How much breathing/air do you get in with that style of wheel though??? It looks awesome, but thats the only thing i would worry about.

OZ Towdster ·

Me thinks those wheels used to reside on a certain white factory cab beetle

That car looks like it want's to see the drag strip at warwick next year! 😉

I'd say its begging to see the strip next year 😀

h ·

lookin heaps better
i thought that someone else might have owned that by now..?

VWFREAK ·

Nice, are the air scoops functional ?

vwsteve ·

yes the airscoops are welded in and have pipes going to the engine, 1 goes to behind the fan area and the other went to where the previous turbo charger was housed.

colonel mustard ·

That is freaking awesome! Looks amazing.

🙂

DylanTheDubber ·

Love your Ghia, it's such a bright colour love it. Also your side ai scoops are great also did you get the wheels new? if so where did you get them

karmannghia60 ·

Hey Steve, you are going to hate me for saying this but personally I don't think a polished/chrome set of wheels does anything to a light coloured car. I think this car is crying out for a nice wide set of detailed Fuchs
Love though
Raf

badkarmann ·

looks great

vwsteve ·

lardo ·

I love the term"turns heads". mostly the other way I feel.
And is the body work metal or just a bog job.
But then again thats my opnion & Iam a purist

vwsteve ·

If you read the previous posts you will get your answer

http://forums.aussieveedubbers.com/viewtopic.php?tid=88421

L469, lets keep it civil. just remember the rules about bagging out people.

L469 ·

of course i am talking about the yellow car i only see one posted

L469 ·

civil what are you talking about this is a vehicle in very tarted up condition for an inflated price this is my opinion i will tell it how i see it

barls ·

mate, this is between steve and the new owner, if the new owner or steve wants to make a comment on what has happened so be it. im fairly sure it doesnt need everyone else putting in their two cents about the condition of the car that has sold.

L469 ·

yes it does when he has posted for opinions and advice😬

barls ·

it wasnt in this thread though was it. also there are two people who know 100% of the story and nether of them have answered so far, other than the new owner asking for advice in a separate thread.
so all this getting upset and accusing people is not helping anything nor is it whats this forum is about. so im going to ask nicely stop or the next abusive comment will be removed

flat4rat ·

here goes captain fantastic barls again,

Mr do as i say not as i do.

onya champion

L469 ·

good onya

ashbaxter ·

easy there boys

There is a Latin saying "Caveat Emptor" which basically means let the buyer beware, i'm the buyer and I got it wrong this time. You won't hear me bitching about it as that won't get the job done. I've learnt some of my best lessons from mistakes and as Forrest Gump once said, Shit Happens.🙂

i said good onya still stands im not upset just pm,s telling me ease off admin🤪

vwsteve ·

Im sad to see that over the weekend all this complaining has started without my knowledge,

i will make it perfectly clear that everyone who came to look at this car was told i bought this car with the bodywork already done by the previous owner, i did not touch it except for putting wheels, bumpers and carbs on it, i drove this car for years the way it was and advised evryone who enquired about it there were a couple rust bubbles appearing(which were also always there) and people could either leave it and keep driving it or 1 day down the track fix it and put another spare wheel well in it and probable sills as i pointed out the wheel well had fibreglass in it.

iF THIS CAR WAS IN SHOWROOM CONDITION IT WOULD HAVE BEEN $20000.00 and not the hell of a lot cheaper price it sold for.

at the end of the day i advised everyone i bought it as is and sold it as is, every karmann ghia these days needs new sills etc when stripped unless you find 1 fully restored for 20-30 thou.

Sorry you are unhappy.
