Difference in 2lt starter to 1600/1800

Hi all

Could someone help me with the techinacal difference between a 2lt starter and 1800. I know the two litre starter is lonng in the shaft but how much?

1600 is 65mm
2ltr is 80mm

so the answer is 15mm

Just happen to be working on a 1600

Does that mean the 1800 starter motor is the same as a 2 liter??
I suppose so seeing they are type 4 engines...

the pinion on the starter shaft is very odd looking on the type 4 starter....
