Wanted - New built engine and gearbox

Hi,

I'm looking for a new engine(1640) and gearbox combination for my 1971 SuperBug.
I'm currently running a stocker 1600TP, gearbox(both are showing signs of tiredness!) and associated hardware, I would like to part Ex my current engine and gearbox if possible but re-use as many of the existing peripherals.

Does anyone know of a good quality engine builder who would do a great job? and what cost would I be looking at?

Does anyone have experience of Engines/Gearboxes built by Gary Williams of VW Classic in Sydney?
