Okay so I'm preparing my 1600 to put back in the van.

I am changing the carby, Ignition leads, exhaust and plugs.

Here is a picture of what it currently looks like except the coil which is now bolted to the ferring. Should I replace all fuel lines and should I relocate some of them?

I have heard the one going from the filter past the coil is dodgy.

the fuel lines are fine where they are, just replace them and get hose clamps for all the joints
and dont reinstall a filter where it currently is

put it on the other side of the fuel pump somewhere under the tank away from the hot engine and spark

i really wish i had a dollar for every vw engine ive seen with one of those filters with no barbs on the fittings fitted to the pressure side of the pump with no hose clamps and sitting above the dissy

i would currently be sitting on the beach in the cayman islands happily retired 馃槀

i was also wondering what you mean by this...

Joels72Lowlight 路

Sorry I meant the shroud

Does anyone have pics of their fuel line setups?

if your using a clamp to secure the fuel lines

PLEASE USE A BIT OF TIE WIRE AROUND THE CLAMP AND BACK TO THE BODY OF THE FUEL PUMP

YEARS OF CORROSION WILL CAUSE THE FUEL LINE TO blow OFF THE PRESSURE SIDE OF THE PUMP AND CREAT A fire ALSO DO THE SAME ON THE FUEL INLET SIDE OF THE CARBY OR CARBIES

Haha thanks mate.

I need clamps.
