Hey Everyone just trying to work out whether the fuel line should go under or over the pedal shafts in the tunnel.

If you are fitting a new fuel line into the tunnel you may need to comply with the ADRs which require that the fuel line must be connected/held firmly to the body/chassis ever 30mm.

When I fitted the new fuel lines into the tunnel of the SR I put them, (it's a fuel injected engine, so I needed two) inside medical quality clear plastic tubing, to make sure that they don't rattle or rub on each other and I supported them every 30mm or so.

I fitted them high in the tunnel, so that I could get brackets to them, so I went over the pedal shaft. Also inside the plastic they wouldn't fit under the bracket inside the tunnel near the pedal shaft or under the pedal shaft.

i have 2 x 8mm rubber lines inside the tunnel

if i was doing from scratch and had the body off i would do in metal and tac weld to the tunnel

I, curious, how do you secure a fuel line every foot inside the tunel?

Cut access holes in it?

Cheers

30mm is very close together, are you sure it isn't meant to me 300mm (or 30cm)?

When I put the new one in the pan last weekend I cut a single access hole under the handbrake where the factory fuel line tab is.

But if I was doing it and had to support it every 300mm I would drop the entire bottom plate off like i'm doing with my buggy floorpan,

Mine's 1/4 I think. And I just bought a whole roll from Repco. They sell lengths off the roll. My dad works there so I asked him to order me in a whole new roll. It was about 7.6m I think.

Should that read 30cm and not 30mm.
